I often use young coconut in various recipes. How to open young coconut? Here is the way I like to do it.
Prepare a machete for opening the coconut, jag for gathering the liquid and a bag for keeping the mess contained.
Put the coconut on its side and whack it with the machete. As soon as the liquid appears, pour it into the jag to preserve it.
I like to drink the coconut water straight away unless I am using it in a recipe. Cheers!
